Before you apply for any spring internship, we recommend you read THIS, which was written to help you nail that phone or in-person internship interview.
This is a good article to check out, because it covers an association we know little about here in the U.S., called PRS for Music, which appears to be similar to ASCAP, BMI, and/or SESAC.
In this article, an advocate for EDM artists and talks about a lawsuit between PRS for Music and SoundCloud. He makes suggestions to improve payouts to SoundCloud artists. It’s pretty interesting. Click and check it out.
What’s this all about? An indie label feels that Spotify hasn’t paid proper royalties to Another Victory, the publishing arm of Victory Records. Read about the bands, number of streams, and the amount of money Spotify allegedly owes.
