Universal, Warner, Sony Invest $9 Million in Shazam

Does it bother you that the 3 major labels have started to figure out how they can make money from sources they used to fear?  If you work for a label, which many of you would like to do, this is good news.  If you’re an artist, that may be another story.

What YouTube Really Pays…Makes Spotify Look Good!

YouTube has non-disclosure agreements signed with each label, publisher, and Performance Rights Organization.  Therefore, nobody knows what their official payout rates are per stream (or ad clicked upon).  This link gives some info about what an Indie label received.  What do you think?
