WPU Music Biz Student Christine Soriano

 

Christine Soriano is truly a force to be reckoned with! Influenced by artists such as Charice, Tori Kelly, Lea Salonga and many more; she has a style that is very unique and unlike anything that is out today. Between the combination of Christine’s unique acoustic/pop sound, lyrical content and feel good melodies, her songs are captivating. In addition to writing pop music, Christina writes Christian music as well.

Aside from her music career, Christine is currently enrolled at William Paterson University.  She is a Popular Music Major and an active student at school. When asked how she feels about her school she replied, “I love it here, that’s why I decided to become a student ambassador.”

Christine will be graduating this spring and will surely be missed by her professors and peers when her time at William Paterson comes to an end.

After graduation, Christine’s has plans to tour the Philippines as a pop/acoustic artist. However, before she decides to take flight, Christine said that she would be taking a year off to really focus on her music career and honing in on her craft as an artist. She will also be taking the time to brush up on her “Tagalog,” the language of the Philippines, as well immersing herself into the Filipino culture that will surely help her to connect with her roots and the fans that are waiting for her there. Christine proudly states, “I write to express not impress, I just want to share my god given talent with the world and touch millions with my stories.” Christine has been seen performing at many venues on the east coast including the very famous, Carnegie Hall, a stage to many great musicians.

One of Christine’s goals is to open for the great boxer Manny Pacquiao. Christine says, “Pacquiao is one of my biggest inspirations in life and it would be an honor to sing before one of his matches.” Christine Soriano gives the glory back to god and plans to use her talent to inspire others as well.
